This is a picture from The National Archives of rows of laundry outside a New York City apartment house. This picture was taken during the year 1935. The posters below advertise coming attractions at the Roosevelt and Apollo Theaters. I am assuming that this is a scene from an upcoming show at the Roosevelt and Apollo Theaters.
I think this is a cool picture because you would never see this in a city today, it shows a clear change from the past to present.
